I agree with the quote. I believe that if you are plagiarizing you either do not fully understand the subject matter or you just don't want to take the time to do the research. By plagiarizing you are not going to learn the information you are merely going to be copying it down which requires no knowledge. I have seen that when others plagiarize they do not have a solid understanding of the material they are to write about. If you ask them a question about the material, without them having the paper they "wrote" in front of them, they will normally be unable to answer it.
