After going through this whole blogging process I feel as though I have gathered enough information to write my paper. I feel as though I have a pretty good understanding of my topic and doing this blog activity has helped. A benefit of doing this is phases is that I did not have to tackle the whole paper at once. It helped me to learn how to work on a research paper in little chunks instead of sitting down and trying to do the whole thing at once. One downside of doing it this way, for me at least, was that I felt as though it was really spread out and I would forget what I wrote or researched in the previous blog phase. As far as how I will research topics in the future, I feel as though this helped me to learn how to space a project out. I will try to take a research projects in little doable chunks instead of jumping into the whole project head first. I have not felt as stressed while working on this paper as I have in the past when working on other assignments. I have learned that is is important to look at many different sources instead of just picking a couple and sticking with them. I have also learned that it helps to make a notes on the articles and take time to reflect on them and respond to the article.

The source I choose is one that has multiple Bible verses that are about same-sex marriage. This source is credible because it is current. The Bible can always apply to our daily lives. While there is not an author of this website, the verses are all found in the Bible.

This source has gathered together many different Bible verses that have to do with same-sex marriage.

I was very surprised to see how many verses there are in the Bible that have to do with this subject. While I am sure there are more I feel as though the website does a good job of pulling together the different verses.

The article I have chosen is called Poll: Religion, Bible Most Often Cited Reasons for Opposing Gay Marriage. It is from The Christian Post which is a news website that is used to keep Christians up to date on current issues and what the bible says about these issues. The article is a current one. It was written in December of 2012. The information it provides is relevant because it provides what the bible has to say about the topic of same-sex marriage. The author of this article has written many others for The Christian Post. He graduated from the University of Florida. The information in this article is used to show you what the Bible says about this subject.

This article provides information on peoples reasoning for being against same-sex marriage. In the poll they took it shows how many people were opposed and how many people were for same-sex marriage. It also shows the break up in ages for the opposed and for those who support it.

I found this article to be very interesting as it breaks down the age of those who oppose same-sex marriage and those who are for it. I never thought about age being something that would be a factor into why someone would be for or against it. It makes sense because our generation is more open to different things. As a whole, we are into making a statement and showing that we aren't like the generations before us. It makes me wonder why this issue has become so big while our generation is young. This has been something that has occurred in the past but has just been something that has become more popular. To me it is a wake up call! It shows me just how lost our world is and how we need Jesus now more than we ever did!

The article I found is called "What does the Bible say about same sex marriage?" The article was originally written in 1997. It was updated in 2002. Because of the information provided, it is not necessary for it to be written within the past year. The information in this article relates to my topic. The article talks about what the bible has to say about same sex marriages as well as what Jesus taught when he was here on earth. I found that the author of the article is a bible teacher as well as a missionary. This means that he has a solid knowledge of the bible and is able to help people apply it into every day life situations.

In this article I was interested by the verses he choose to use. He uses Romans 1:26-27 as well as 1 Timothy 1:9-10. I never would have related these verses to the subject of same sex marriage. In 1 Timothy the bible tells us that the laws are not made for the righteous man because they are not the ones that need them. However, they are made for the unrighteous man. This verse does not specify same sex marriages but at the end it does say, "and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine." To me this means that same sex marriage is classified as one of the laws that is put in place, by God, for the unrighteous man.

This information is significant because it helps me to see specific examples of references in the bible where it says same sex marriage is not right. It will help me to be able to defend myself in my paper with facts and scripture verses rather than my own point of view. While this article does back up where I stand on the subject, it will provide some more solid evidence to back up my argument.
I agree with the quote. I believe that if you are plagiarizing you either do not fully understand the subject matter or you just don't want to take the time to do the research. By plagiarizing you are not going to learn the information you are merely going to be copying it down which requires no knowledge. I have seen that when others plagiarize they do not have a solid understanding of the material they are to write about. If you ask them a question about the material, without them having the paper they "wrote" in front of them, they will normally be unable to answer it.

The article I will use is titled "Same-Sex Marriage". This article can be found the Issues and Controversies Database. This article is relevant to my topic because it provides a definition of marriage by people who are against gay marriage as well as people who are for gay marriage. The article was written with the help of many other sources that are listed within the bibliography. This shows that the information given is supported. The purpose of this article is to show you the different view points on this topic.

In this article it talks about how the America family has changed over time and that same-sex marriage is just another way it is changing. It shows what someone against same-sex marriage defines marriage as well as someone who is for same-sex marriage. Those against it feel like if we make it legal we opening doors to other issues such as incest. Those who are for same-sex marriage say that religion should not be a factor in making the decision to make it legal or not. They say that a religious group can make their own rules within their group but it should not affect the political decision.
